Following inauguration on 17 May 2018, Councillor Annabel Graham Paul is the new Mayor of Llandovery, succeeding Councillor David Long. The Deputy Mayor is now Councillor Louise Wride.

The Town Council regrets the resignation due to ill-health of the Council’s Sergeant-at-Mace, Mr Meirion Jones and expresses its gratitude to him for his service. The position will be advertised in due course.
There will be a meeting on 11June 2018 at 7pm in the Rhys Prichard Memorial Hall to set up the Community Group to manage the town’s four parks (Maesglas, Green Lodge, Castle and skate park) following the transfer of them to the Town Council by the County Council. All with an interest in the future of our parks are warmly encouraged to attend. The Town Council is extremely grateful to all those currently volunteering to help maintain the parks.
The Town Council is also keen to hear from any individuals or groups who wish to carry out voluntary work in the town.
A reminder that there is a defibrillator located under the arches of the Town Hall and Hywel Dda University Health Board are holding a drop-in session on 4 June 2018 between 2 – 7 pm for the Big NHS Change Consultation.
The Town Council will be holding an Armed Forces Day parade and service in St. Dingat’s Church on Saturday 30June 2018.
